Avi Abrams

Avi Abrams is a creative living in New York City. He recently graduated from NYU studying film and television production. He started writing short films, editing, and working on film sets and music videos; however, ended up spending most of his free time working with musicians and their teams, and quickly realized that he was going to have a career in the music industry.

Growing up, Avi learned how to edit on Premiere, Final Cut, and Avid. He taught himself how to create graphic designs using illustrator and other Adobe products. At 13, he began producing on Garage Band, and eventually learned how to use Logic Pro X, Pro Tools, Ableton, Fl Studios, and Reason to produce and mix.

Avi has experience working in one of the most intense and fast-paced industry environments at Electric Lady Studios. He regularly worked 12 to 15-hour overnight shifts, took care of all high-profile client requests from multiple ongoing sessions, and assisted management. He additionally worked for a state-of-the-art recording studio, Mid South Audio where he was personally mentored by Grammy-nominated engineer, Frank Marchand. He operated consoles, set up recording sessions, and was eventually given the opportunity to run his own.

Avi currently works with multiple artists in New York City producing, mixing, and developing artists. He also works on graphic design - creating cover art and social media graphics. Through various mentors, classes at NYU, and his own research, He has learned how to distribute and promote music, grow an artist’s fan base, and promote their work through social media.
